The international arena will host a unique dressage clinic as Finnish equestrian legend Kyra Kyrklund returns to the Helsinki International Horse Show after a hiatus of more than 20 years. Joining Kyra in leading the clinic is her longtime trainee and friend, Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour, a Danish dressage rider ranked among the world’s absolute best.
Kyra Kyrklund is known as one of the world’s most respected dressage trainers and Olympic riders. Her views on horse training, rider development, and the principles of classical riding have influenced riders for generations around the world.
Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour, for her part, is one of the biggest stars in international dressage today. She has achieved success at the highest international level, most recently in Aachen in 2026, and is particularly known for her harmonious, horse-respecting riding style and her uncompromising professionalism.
The clinic combines Kyra’s decades of experience with Cathrine’s modern expertise in elite sports. Friday’s international competition program gets off to a fast start with the International Welcome CSI5* 140 cm class, where top riders will get a feel for the arena and fine-tune their strategies for the weekend’s most significant competitions.
