Friday’s Amateur Tour classes featured lively, closely contested, and high-quality competition. Three classes were held during the day, two of which were decided in jump-offs by fractions of a second, and the 80-cm class by skill points. The top riders stood out with their confident and careful performances.
Amateur Tour 105 cm, presented by Velj. Wahlsten
Nine riders competed in the class, three of whom received awards. All three riders in the top three advanced to the jump-off with clear rounds. Saana Salminen, representing Goodwill Riders, rode to victory on her horse Clarissa RD with a time of 28.88 seconds. Elsa Sjöström of Keisarinmäen Ratsastajat took second place on Nevada di Parta TR with a time of 29.05. Isla Leppänen of Ääneseudun Ratsastajat took third place on Shanghai Volo with a time of 31.09.
Amateur Tour 95 cm, presented by Print Team Finland
Twenty-two riders lined up at the starting line for the 95-cm class. The top six were awarded prizes after the jump-off. The victory went to Neea Hakala on Hubaluba 3389 from Myrkyn Yksityisratsastajat with a time of 27.51 seconds. Second place went to Sonia Suominen of the Lohja Riders on Power Lady Z with a time of 27.67. Third place went to Sanni Collin of the Kuopio Riders on Graham’s D’Ete with a time of 28.12.
All the competitors completed both the basic course and the re-run without any mistakes, and the results were decided in tight races down to the last second.
Amateur Tour 80 cm, presented by Horse & Rider Nordic
The third Amateur Tour class of the day was held at the 80-cm level as a skill competition. A total of 34 riders and horses lined up at the starting line, and the top nine were awarded prizes.
Rode to victory in the class Nía Kartano of Fox Riders, riding Joe de Baudemont, received the highest technical score of 9.0. Mea Tiainen of the Kauniaisten Ratsastajat, riding Berline, placed second with a score of 8.8, and Vilja Jaakkola of the Mustavuoren Ratsastajat, riding Gwen, placed third with a score of 8.
The technical evaluation highlighted balance, careful riding, and a smooth overall performance; the skills of the young and amateur riders were clearly evident throughout the day.
