Sunday morning started off with the CSI5* 145 cm presented by Messukeskus class. Seventh starter Dennis Lynch with his horse Katja made the course in great time of 57.56 seconds and was able to hold the first place until the very end but had to give way to the last starter of the competition Jone Illi and Caprivi 23 who finished with 56.57 seconds. The third place went to Johanna Beckmann and Alphajet DB from Germany with 60.20 seconds.
“Amazing feeling! This was a great course, everything went as planned and Caprivi worked really well, even though it was the third day in the row”, Jone commented about the performance today after the award ceremony.
“Overall the mood in the arena has been great and I feel like the horses have jumped better and better as the competition continued. I have loved been here.”
For Jone this was the last class of the competition weekend and altogether he took home three wins.
Second placed Dennis went through his performance after the award ceremony.
“For this course you had to have the horse very ridable and listening well. I didn’t really get to do the course the way I would have liked it, I maxed to the double combination and then had to take myself a little bit of time. To the second last fence I didn’t get the best turn. So that is the difference between first and second place.”
Dennis is still participating in the highlight of the event, the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup.
“We ran Vistograd the first day and he was third in the opening 150 class so I feel good going to today’s last competition.”
