Ebba Kewenter seals her first five-star win in Helsinki

The battle for the top was tight on Friday morning’s International Welcome CSI 5* 140 cm but at the end, the young Swede Ebba Kewenter on Castlefield Cassandra emerged victorious. She took an early lead that held until the end, marking her first five-star win. Helsinki first-timer Tamás Mráz of Hungary and Neorado T slotted into second, and Malin Baryard-Johnsson with Ccstud’s Liisolde completed the Swedish celebrations by placing third.

“This is my first time in Helsinki, and the arena is very nice. My feeling in the warm-up was not the best but in the competition it was just amazing. She is always very fast. I took the turn that I could and she was fast,” Kewenter said after the competition.

“This is my second five-star show ever, I did Gothenburg last year but not this year. It’s new for me on this level, so the win is very big,” the Sweden continued clearly happy.

Home favourites Jone Illi on Caprivi 23 and Anni Hjerpe with Callboy delivered amazing clear rounds as well and just narrowly missed the podium.
