Finnlines Offers a Sea Bridge from Europe to Finland

As a partner of the Helsinki Horse Show, Finnlines supports the international character of the event and strengthens its connections with Europe. Messukeskus provides an excellent setting for the event and reaches a broad, international audience.

“It is wonderful to be part of a respected and traditional event that combines a strong history with an international outlook,” says Merja Kallio-Mannila, Commercial Director of Finnlines.

“Finnlines is one of the event’s long-standing partners, enabling the smooth arrival of international horses to Helsinki to compete. We value Finnlines’ practical experience in horse transport as well as their contribution as our event partner,” thanks Valtteri Gundersby, CEO of BCM Scanhorses.

Finnlines is one of the leading shipping companies in freight and passenger traffic in the Baltic Sea, North Sea, and Bay of Biscay. The company is part of the Italian Grimaldi Group. Finnlines continues to invest in the development of its fleet, and as its latest investment, three new ropax vessels have been ordered for the Finland–Germany route, scheduled to enter service in 2028–2029.

The Grimaldi Group is one of the world’s largest ro-ro shipping companies and the largest “Motorways of the Sea” operator transporting passengers and freight in Europe. This cooperation enables Finnlines to offer regular liner services between the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, West Africa, North and South America, Asia, and Australia.
