Saturday’s show jumping program ended with the International Helsinki Classics 150cm and after a really tight battle for the win with only a few hundredths separating the first and the second, Rein Pill on Alfons RA from Estonia was the fastest against the clock in time 50.39. Second place went to last year’s Helsinki World Cup winner Jur Vrieling on Dallas VDL who also did a great round with the result 50.47. Steve Guerdat and Venard de Cerisy continued their great weekend and placed third.
It felt amazing to win here and I’m very happy with our round. The horse was super today, he jumped really well already yesterday and was even better tonight. But, I’m still thinking about what to do regarding tomorrow’s World Cup, commented Pill after his performance.
I’m really happy with our performance tonight, the horse is really fast and his canter is good so I was able to win some time there, Vrieling said after the competition.
