Olivier Robert on Eros was fastest on the course in the International Speed Final 140 cm. The French took the win in Sunday’s first show jumping class with a clear difference to the second placed Henna Maria Kaaro and Ikon from Finland who also managed to make a great round. Paul-Richard Argus on Jay-Z Bee took yet another spot at the top three for this weekend placing third.
I don’t usually jump these kind of classes but yesterday in the GP we had two down and since those were my own mistakes, I wanted to give my horse a chance to finish the weekend with a clear performance because he has been so great, Robert said after the competition.
In the World Cup I’m riding with Tempo de Paban, we were 4th in Oslo last week and the weekend there was great for us altogether. I rode with him yesterday here in Helsinki and he has been super at this arena so I hope that we are at our best also this evening in the World Cup, Robert added.
I had a really great feeling already this morning and I was super excited to get to the course. The feeling of riding to the finish line after a successful round is just amazing. After all the training and hard work one should enjoy the minute on the course to the fullest, especially when it pays off like this, Kaaro said clearly happy after her performance.
Next I’m jumping in Ypäjä and after that the horses will get a well deserved rest before the training continues and the next season starts, Kaaro commented her future plans.
