Finnish Anna Tallberg and Grevens Zorro were victorious in Helsinki, taking the win in Dressage Grand Prix and thrilling the home crowd. The duo scored 68,782% in their first competition since the Europeans and Tallberg was satisfied with their performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m very happy with today. It was my first big indoor arena show with this horse, and he is quite scared in places where he doesn\u2019t have a lot of space. I wasn\u2019t sure of how he was going to react, so my own goal was to keep him relaxed during the whole course and I think I succeeded in that. I had one mistake which was a shame and took my score down but overall, I\u2019m happy with today\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the first Helsinki Horse Show for both of us and competing here is so much fun. And of course it\u2019s always nice to win in front of the home crowd\u201d, Tallberg commented after the competition.<\/p>\n

Ahead of tomorrow\u2019s Dressage K\u00fcr, Tallberg is feeling excited but also emotional. Her long-time coach from younger years, Mikaela “Fia” Fabricius-Bjerre, passed away in early 2023.<\/p>\n

\u201cTomorrow I\u2019ll ride my late coach\u2019s K\u00fcr so I\u2019m sure it\u2019s going to be emotional. It is a quite easy program, which is why I chose it. My own K\u00fcr is very difficult and if Zorro is tense and nervous, we won\u2019t be able to perform so well\u201d, Tallberg said.<\/p>\n

Other spots in the top three went to Sweden with Mads Hendeliowitz on Autograf Q placing second and Sofia M\u00f6ller on Flawless taking the third place.<\/p>\n
