The first international action for this year\u2019s Helsinki Horse Show, International Welcome 140 cm presented by Stopteltat, was a tight fight against the clock but at the end French Julien Anquetin on Z Ice Cube Z jumped to victory. Mario Stevens of Germany and Carrie 22 placed second, narrowly beating the home favourites Jone Illi and Celtas Quillian from Finland.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m feeling good, we had a really great round. I\u2019m happy with my riding as well, I got to do everything I planned, the horse felt great, and we had a good warm-up. Thinking about the weekend, this class worked as a preparation for us but of course I\u2019m happy to be at the top three\u201d, said Jone Illi after his performance.<\/p>\n

The opening class was a big success for home riders as four other Finns in addition to Illi placed in the top 12 \u2013 Maija Yli-Huhtala, Hugo Kogelnig, Eveliina Talvio and Petra Heikkinen.<\/p>\n

International Welcome presented by Stopteltat international competition in two phases 140 cm. Starts 41, placings 12.<\/p>\n

Aleksandrs Sakurovs with Fillmore DB took the win in Pohjola Diamond Open Nordic Baltic Grand Prix 135 cm 1st qualifier Presented by Welled Lighttherapy. Finnish Eveliina Talvio on New Yorker placed second and Anni Hjerpe and Callboy completed the top three.<\/p>\n
