The international competition at the new Messukeskus Arena got off to a fast-paced and high-level start with show jumping, as Finnish riders went head-to-head with top international competitors. The competition treated the audience to spectacular performances, tight turns, and placings decided by fractions of a second\u2014the atmosphere in the arena reached a fever pitch with every start. <\/p>\n\n

The class was won by 13-year-old Dutch rider Pedro Mansur on Gralain AA with a confident and fast performance. Pedro is the son of international show jumper Yuri Mansur, who is currently competing in the World Cup in Helsinki. <\/p>\n\n

Vilma Lappalainen took a magnificent second place on her horse Knokke HX, delighting the home crowd with her strong and balanced ride. Norway\u2019s Karoline Lien took third place on her horse Castlefield Jess. Lien also competed in the class on her other horse, Billy Be Dapper. <\/p>\n\n

A total of thirteen Finnish riders competed in the class, four of whom placed in the top ten\u2014a strong showing for Finnish show jumping on the international stage. Top-level international competition and the cheers of the home crowd created a memorable event, with every course filled with excitementfrom start to finish. <\/p>\n\n

Anni Hjerpe Takes Second Place<\/h2>\n\n

The 135 cm class also featured fast-paced and precise show jumping in an international field, as the riders competed against one another on a course that demanded both technical skill and speed. Germany\u2019s Mike van Olst rode to victory in the class on Quintana van\u2019t Klavertje Vier with a controlled and efficient performance. <\/p>\n\n

Anni Hjerpe took second place on her horse D.Chacco\u2019S Dominator Z. Hjerpe is among the top riders in Finnish show jumping and will move up to the senior division this year. She said she is eagerly looking forward to the new classes and upcoming challenges. Hjerpe is also the first Finn to be selected for the Young Riders Academy. Third place went to Anna Simicska of Hungary on her horse Carundy. <\/p>\n\n
