To honor Wegelius\u2019s memory and his long career in equestrian sport, Helsinki Horse Show will award the annual memorial prize, the <strong>\u201cChristopher Wegelius Memorial Trophy.\u201d<\/strong> The trophy has been donated by the Wegelius family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The perpetual trophy will be presented for the first time at the upcoming Helsinki Horse Show in connection with the Helsinki Grand Prix on Saturday evening, February 28. The Grand Prix will be contested at a height of 155 cm, with \u20ac110,000 in prize money and Longines Ranking points at stake. Wegelius himself was named the best Finnish rider at the Helsinki Horse Show in 1987 and 1988 with his horse Ginger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award will be presented by Wegelius\u2019s immediate family to the highest-placed Finnish rider in the Grand Prix.
