World and European champion Jens Fredricson<\/strong> will be the star show jumping trainer at the Helsinki International Horse Show next spring. Jens will hold an extensive training clinic on Thursday, February 26th<\/sup>, and a shorter mini-clinic on Saturday, February 28th<\/sup>. He will also compete himself in the five-star classes, with the main goal in the Helsinki Longines FEI Jumping World Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Thursday at the Messukeskus, you can follow nearly three hours of expert insights and thoughts on riding. The other of the two 1\u20131.5-hour clinics will be led by the international dressage rider and trainer Daniel Bachmann Andersen<\/strong>. The coaching sessions by these top riders add great value to the audience of the Helsinki Horse Show 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNow we have a truly skilled duo, whose company will inspire and teach both our audience and riders. We can enjoy their knowledge on several days,\u201d Event Director Valtteri Gundersby<\/strong> explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 58-year-old Swede made a comeback to the top sport after turning 50. In year 2022 he placed third in the World Cup final with Markan Cosmopolit. Later that summer the pair won team gold at the World Championships together with Jens\u2019s younger brother, Peder Fredricson<\/strong>. The team\u2019s success continued at the 2023 European Championships, where Jens narrowly missed the podium at the individual competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps even more significant is Jens\u2019s career as a coach and a teacher. As young boys, the Fredricson brothers learned from their veterinarian father to solve problems by seeking solutions, not by complaining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Jens, staying at the top in sports requires curiosity and a desire to develop in many areas, not just in riding skills. Alongside his own continuous development and learning, Jens has been sharing his knowledge and ideas with others since his youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has had a 30-year career at Sweden\u2019s most prominent riding schools, Flyinge and Str\u00f6msholm, where he has taught a significant number of riding instructors and been responsible for the quality, training, and development of teaching horses. He has also focused especially on coaching young riders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His long career as a teacher is evident in his coaching. It is highly entertaining and rewarding to follow. According to Jens, staying at the top in sports requires curiosity and a desire to develop in many areas, not just in riding skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
