Several riders, well-known to the Helsinki fans, have qualified to the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final. The Western European League Final took place in Göteborg at the end of February. The whole Western European tour consisted of 14 legs and altogether 159 riders took part in them. 85 of the participants collected world cup points. The second leg of the tour was held in Helsinki in October.

World ranking No. 1, Henrik von Eckermann, continued his fantastic year and won the Western European league. The Swede won two legs and collected points in six other legs. The second runner up is Julien Epaillard from France. He made an amazing hat-trick by winning in Lyon, Madrid and Amsterdam. Daniel Deusser came third, followed by Harry Charles and Kevin Staut.

Gerrit Nieberg, 2nd in Helsinki, Janne F. Meyer-Zimmermann, placed 3rd in Helsinki and Victoria Gulliksen, who placed 6th in Helsinki all received a ticket to Omaha. The Finnish riders didn’t collect any World Cup points this year.
