Skill and Speed on Display in the Indoor Driving Competition Showcase

Combined driving is often described as an old sport in a modern form. It is also true teamwork, as a carriage always includes at least one horse or pony, a driver, and a groom (carriage assistant). There can also be two or even four horses.

Combined driving competitions consist of three phases: dressage, marathon, and cones (obstacle driving). Each phase requires different qualities and skills. At the Helsinki Horse Show, the drivers will present a competition showcase in a knockout format – a head-to-head time trial.
