The biggest indoor sports event in Finland – Helsinki International Horse Show moves to October 2022. The ongoing pandemic has caused several challenges which ultimately forced the organizer to make the move.

”We have followed thoroughly all year the rather slow move back to normal life, especially with regard to huge mass events”, Event Director Tom Gordin says.

“An event of the Helsinki dimensions consists of hundreds of bits and pieces, requiring normally more than half a year to make come true. Now was the last moment to make the final decision – time ran out. Our difficult decision is based on several open questions, none single being the main reason. We made risk analysis and estimations on when is ”back to normal”, with the wellbeing of people and horses in main focus”, Gordin continues.

”The support from fans and partners is overwhelming. From now on we focus completely in making the Helsinki Horse Show 2022 a super top sport event”, states Tom Gordin.

The next CSI5*-W Helsinki Horse Show, host of the Longines FEI Jumping World CupTM qualifier, is organized on October, 19.-23., 2022.
