The international equestrian mega-event in Finland, Helsinki Horse Show, was yesterday (16.12.2020) awarded with the Silver Award. The sustainability efforts of the event were thus well recognized in tough competition with other candidates.
The Winner´s Award went to the classical Wembley Stadium, whereas world famous Arsenal FC reached the Bronze Award.
”We are extremely pleased that the Helsinki Horse Show sustainability efforts, packaged into the ”Helsinki Jumps Green” -concept, are widely appreciated not only in Finland but also internationally”, says Tom Gordin, Event Director of the Horse Show.
”We have an outspoken vision to be the most sustainable equestrian event worldwide, and looks like we are on the right track”, continues Gordin.
The Event has worked closely with the international equestrian federation FEI over the past two years. It was the FEI that entered the Helsinki event to the Sports Business Awards 2020 as a candidate in the sustainability category.
